Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense confirmed on Monday that several United States military aircraft crashed within Kuwaiti territory, but all crew members survived the incidents and were transported to hospitals in stable condition.
Officials said emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the crash sites and worked alongside U.S. forces to evacuate the personnel. The ministry did not initially disclose the exact number of aircraft involved or the precise cause of the crashes, noting that investigations are underway.
Early reports and video footage circulating online appeared to show at least one fighter jet descending in flames before the crew successfully ejected.
The incidents occurred amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, where missile and drone activity has been reported across multiple Gulf states. Kuwait has recently intercepted hostile drones while sirens and explosions were heard in parts of the region.
Authorities emphasized that the aircrew’s survival was due to rapid ejection procedures and coordinated rescue operations. Medical assessments indicated the personnel suffered only minor injuries and remain under observation.
The United States military has not yet released a detailed statement on the circumstances of the crashes, though defense officials are expected to conduct a joint investigation with Kuwait.
Security measures around military installations in the Gulf have been heightened as regional instability continues to affect aviation and military operations. Analysts say the incidents highlight the risks faced by military aircraft operating in conflict-adjacent airspace.
Despite the dramatic nature of the crashes, Kuwaiti authorities reassured the public that the situation remains under control and no civilian casualties were reported.
