Police in Los Angeles arrested a woman after multiple gunshots were fired at the Beverly Hills residence of pop superstar Rihanna, authorities confirmed.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1:21 p.m. on Sunday (March 8) in the upscale Beverly Hills Post Office area.
Investigators say at least 10 shots were fired from a vehicle near the property, with a 30-year-old woman later taken into custody.
Officials told local media that the singer is believed to have been inside the home when the shooting occurred, though no injuries were reported.
Police spokesperson Armen Arias said investigators found bullet holes in the property’s gate and in an RV parked in the driveway, confirming that the residence had been struck during the shooting.
Authorities said the suspect allegedly fired the shots from a white Tesla before fleeing the area. A police helicopter later tracked the vehicle to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where officers stopped the car and arrested the suspect about 30 minutes after the incident.
“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” Arias told reporters.
The Grammy-winning singer reportedly lives at the property with her partner A$AP Rocky and their three children.
While it remains unclear whether the rapper and their children were present at the time of the shooting, sources said the singer was “doing okay” following the incident.
Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s identity or possible motive as the investigation continues.
The incident has raised security concerns in the celebrity-heavy Beverly Hills area, though police say the situation was quickly contained and no one was harmed.
