Nicholas Brendon, best known for his role as Xander Harris in the hit supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died at the age of 54, his family confirmed in a public statement.
According to relatives, Brendon passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 20. The actor’s death was attributed to natural causes, though additional details were not disclosed.
Born in Los Angeles in 1971, Brendon rose to international fame portraying Xander Harris, the loyal and humorous friend of Buffy Summers, across seven seasons of the influential series from 1997 to 2003.
