Bodycam footage of Justin Timberlake’s 2024 driving-while-intoxicated (DWI) arrest in Sag Harbor has been released, offering a detailed look at the pop star’s interaction with police during the incident.
The nearly 20-minute video shows Timberlake being pulled over while driving a gray BMW before undergoing a series of field sobriety tests. At one point, the singer appeared confused by instructions, telling officers, “These are, like, hard tests,” as he attempted to comply.
During the roadside evaluation, Timberlake stumbled while trying to walk in a straight line and later admitted, “My heart is racing,” as the situation intensified.
Despite the pressure, the former *NSYNC star remained cooperative and respectful, repeatedly addressing officers with “yes, sir.” However, he declined multiple requests to take a breathalyzer test, which ultimately led to his arrest.
Footage also shows Timberlake being handcuffed and placed in a police vehicle, while a female companion at the scene attempted to intervene, asking officers to reconsider and referencing his popular songs.
The video release comes after Timberlake unsuccessfully sought to block its publication through legal action against the town of Sag Harbor, where the arrest took place.
The singer was initially charged with one count of driving while intoxicated, along with traffic violations, including failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep right. He later reached a plea deal that reduced the DWI charge to a non-criminal traffic violation.
The incident, which occurred after Timberlake had dinner with friends, raised concerns at the time about its potential impact on his music career, including his planned world tour.
The newly surfaced footage has reignited public attention on the case, offering a clearer view of the events leading up to the singer’s arrest.
