Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has publicly addressed the long-rumoured strain in his relationship with his parents, football icon David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, offering his most candid account to date of the tensions within the famous family. In a series of Instagram stories shared on Monday, Brooklyn said he currently has no desire to reconcile, explaining that the situation has taken an emotional toll on him over the years.
In his statement, Brooklyn alleged that his parents have repeatedly interfered in his marriage to actor Nicola Peltz, whom he married in 2022. He claimed that public narratives surrounding the Beckham family have often been shaped without his input, prompting him to finally share his side of the story.
Brooklyn pointed to several incidents that he believes deepened the divide, including disagreements during his wedding. He alleged that Victoria Beckham decided not to design Nicola’s bridal outfit despite earlier discussions, leading Nicola to wear a Valentino haute couture gown. He also claimed tensions arose over seating arrangements at the reception and alleged that his mother interrupted what was meant to be his first dance with his wife.
According to Brooklyn, Nicola has faced ongoing disrespect from his family despite efforts by the couple to maintain unity. He said multiple attempts to reconnect privately — including traveling to London around his father’s birthday — were unsuccessful, alleging that meetings were either declined or made conditional, sometimes excluding Nicola.
Addressing speculation that Nicola controls his decisions, Brooklyn strongly rejected the claim. He said distancing himself from his family has brought him peace and helped ease anxiety he had carried for years.
David and Victoria Beckham have not publicly responded to the remarks. Brooklyn’s post marks one of the clearest acknowledgements yet of the personal rift, bringing renewed attention to years of speculation surrounding the Beckham family dynamic.
